The 11,000 square-foot facility houses advanced technology, including a CT scanner. The 24/7 emergency department is an extension of services for Freeman Health System, operating as a department of Freeman Health System – Bentonville Medical Center.

As with all Freeman Health System emergency departments, the facility is designed to ensure quality of care as well as safety, privacy and convenience. It includes:

  • Twelve patient treatment rooms are private, comfortable and equipped for the care of individuals of all ages.
  • A trauma exam room assists the team in caring for critically ill or injured people.
  • An ambulance bay is located on the north side of the building.
  • A specialized room is available for the safe care of psychiatric patients.
  • Two negative pressure rooms are designed to isolate a patient who is suspected of having – or has been diagnosed with – an airborne infectious disease. The design is intended to prevent the spread of a disease from an infected patient to others.
  • Additional decontamination equipment is available for patients who have been injured by or exposed to chemicals. This assists the team in providing safe and appropriate care while protecting staff, patients or guests.
  • Laboratory services help analyze blood and specimens.
  • Respiratory therapy services provide care for those having trouble breathing.
  • And, finally, imaging services, including a CT scanner, ultrasound and X‐ray equipment help physicians diagnose injuries and illness and to provide quality care.

Outpatient Services

Freeman Health System Emergency Department Bentonville also offers outpatient imaging and outpatient radiology services. Patients with a doctor or provider’s order may utilize the location for CT scans, ultrasound and X-rays.
